Nearly 40 years after first forming, Slayer has officially said goodbye. On Saturday at The Forum in Inglewood, California, the band played the last show of The Final Campaign, a tour that began back in May of 2018 and stretched around the world.

“I want to thank you for sharing your time with us. Time is precious. So I thank you for sharing that time with us,” vocalist Tom Araya told the crowd. “I'm gonna miss you guys, but the most important thing I want to thank you for being a part of my life.”

Along for the ride of the raging twenty song set were a few famous fans of the thrash icons. Post Malone watched from the crowd, along with Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett, actor Joe Manganiello, and many more.

Game Of Thrones star Jason Momoa not only watched Slayer on stage, but also hopped up earlier in the night to shred through a few Pantera songs with singer Phil Anselmo. The actor is a noted metal enthusiast, even enlisting the lead singer of the death metal band Archspire to help perfect his scream for his new series, SEE.

Slayer performed 147 shows on their farewell tour, ending it all in Inglewood on Saturday. The band has explained that they are not breaking up, just not playing live anymore. Slayer released their last album in 2015, and a live album from the final tour earlier this month.
